Rosie is the best!
Fish
This model is based on a Lis fish outline but I have modernised the bottom contours and foil. The idea was to make a board that would paddle into waves easily, have plenty of drive, but, on the contrary to a traditional fish, it has loads of grip. The reason for this was because I wanted it to be more accessible to people who are used to riding shortboards and other modern shapes. On the spectrum of Fish designs this one pulls towards the performance-surfing side. This board has been tested in Indonesia, Algarve beach-breaks and even pushed to its limit at Kangaroo point-break in big surf.
I personally like to ride this board when the waves are breaking close to the shore on a punchy little beach-break. Its fast and zippy, gets you over flat sections and pops nicely. It definitely handles mellower point-breaks nicely allowing you to surf in the pocket due to its refined foil. I also had a memorable Xmas day surf on a super shallow reef in Indonesia. The swell was tiny but this board was amazing to link all the sections on a long wave and dodge a couple rocks.
